———- WORDS ——–
Yo, what’s good guys it’s Saint Blck and I’m back with another weekly rundown.
here, on Pie Radio..
So first of all, in the world of film and we’ve got John Boyega, who’s going to be starring in the new Netflix, thriller with none other than the man himself, Robert De Niro. The film titled “Formula”, is set to follow an American formula 1 driver who basically becomes a getaway driver for the mafia in order to save his family. So it sounds like the film is going to be full of some action, some suspense, and obviously some drama along the way John Boyega set to play the lead role in this film alongside Robert De Niro who are just two of the names in this upcoming feature film. All of this comes after John Boyega huge success with the limited series, ‘Small Axe’, and obviously his nomination for best actor in a limited series made for TV.
So while we’re still talking about movies, the filming on the biopic of princess, Diana has finally begun. A picture was posted online of Kristen Stewart as princess Diana, which kind of instigated that whole conversation again and Mark the beginning of the filming for the actual film. The film titled ‘Spencer’ is going to follow princess Diana as she spends a Christmas weekend at Sandringham estate with the Royal family. We haven’t got a specific release date yet. However, it is scheduled to come out in the autumn of 2021. Saying this though, 2022 is the 25th anniversary of princess Diana’s death. So I feel like maybe wait until 2022 would actually make more sense. Now over to the world of music and we’ve got Fredo, who’s finally released his highly anticipated second album ‘Money can’t buy happiness’.
Fredo took to social media last week to announce the release of the album by posting up the album’s artwork, along with the caption “money can’t buy happiness”. The album said to be co-produced by Dave came out yesterday, the 29th of January and follows on from his debut album ‘Third Avenue’ that came out in 2019. And now for probably some unwanted updates, because really, and truly, we all just want this to be over with, but Boris Johnson has spoken out on COVID once again. This time around Boris has introduced quarantine hotels for anybody and everybody arriving into the UK from any of the 30 red list countries in the world.
That means if you’re coming back into the UK from any of the countries on that red list, you’re going to have to quarantine, for 10 days in a government provided accommodation or hotel. Boris has made this announcement in the hopes to reduce the amount of COVID cases in the UK, but also to prevent any of the strains or variations of COVID from coming into the UK from any other country. Although this was widely anticipated in recent weeks, it has still been met with a lot of criticism from people arguing that the government should have taken tougher actions a lot sooner. And now for a bit of funny COVID story, it seems all of us are tired of these new COVID rules, including the guys meant to be enforcing them. So this week 31 on-duty officers were fined for breach and COVID-19 rules just to get a haircut.
Scotland yard has released that on the 17th of January, 31 officers at the Bethnal green police station in East London had their hair cut by a professional barber. How all of them got cut without anyone noticing is beyond me. The two officers believed to have organize this event have actually been put under investigation. And of course have been fined along with the 29 other officers who have breached the COVID-19 rules. But to be honest on this occasion, I think they get the better end of the stick, because at least they come out with a fresh trim. The local policing commander, detective chief superintendent Marcus Barnett has actually commented and mentioned how disappointed he is that his officers couldn’t actually set an example for the public to follow. This is all funny to be honest because it comes just days after it was revealed that nine offices in the Greenwich branch were actually fined for breaching COVID-19 rules as well. This time for meeting in a cafe for breakfast. So that’s it from me, I’ve been Saint Blck, and you’ve been looked into the weekly rundown here on Pie Radio.
